Hot wax hair removal
Hot waxing is the most widely used hair removal method. It is usually done in a beauty center, although it can also be done at home with the right materials.
Hot wax is a melted resin that grabs hair, whether short, fine, long or thick, and pulls it out by the roots. It comes in small resin balls that must be melted. This type of wax is the most effective, because the heat opens the pores of the skin and the hair comes out more easily.
How to wax
- Always apply the wax in the direction of hair growth, so that it sticks completely.
- Spread with a wooden spatula so that there is a generous layer that covers the area to be waxed well. Position the spatula perpendicular to the leg, making sure to leave thick edges so it's easier to grab later.
- Let cool to harden. You'll know it's done if you press the edge with your fingertips and the wax easily separates from the skin.
- Once dry, carefully peel off the end that is going to be thrown with.
- Put the other hand holding the skin so that it is taut.
- Pull the wax quickly against the direction of hair growth, trying to remove as much wax as possible and always keeping your hand close to the skin; never pull up.
- To finish, cleanse and moisturize the skin.
