Types of oils
Undoubtedly, olive oil is the best known and used in our kitchen, in all its varieties: olive oil extra virgin (obtained from the first pressing), the virgin olive oil (less pure) and oil olive (mix of both). Of these three types of olive oil, the tastiest and healthiest is extra virgin olive oil.
There are other types of oils with interesting properties. For example , coconut oil , which is used in both cooking and cosmetics; flax oil , packed with Omega 3; sesame oil , very tasty and high in minerals and Omega 6; or argan oil , highly appreciated for hair and skin care, although it is also used in cooking.
Types of vinegars
The best known is white vinegar , made from sugar cane or corn, as well as wine vinegar with its varieties such as Jerez vinegar or Modena vinegar . Softer and more delicate, apple cider vinegar is great for salads and fish, while rice vinegar is used to flavor many oriental dishes such as sushi. Vinegar is also a great antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial.
