Alpro history

Our history begins in 1980 with the challenge of creating a soy drink.

In 1998 we opened the first Alpro factory in Wevelgem, Belgium, in 1996 the second in Sojinal, France and in 2000 the third in Kettering, UK.

In 2017, Danone bought the WhiteWave group and we became part of the great Danone family.

Good food, good ingredients

Our products have a very light carbon and water footprint. In addition, we practice sustainable trade and local purchase: European oats, Mediterranean almonds, and European or Canadian soybeans. Our production is also sustainable, and we continue to improve the process. We have listened to you, and we all win!

doing better

We work every day to improve and therefore if there is a better way of doing and packaging things, we are there! We recycle the water and energy we consume. Our recyclable, recycled or vegetable packaging makes our products as good on the outside as they are on the inside. We know that we can still improve, and we are working on it.

why your food matters

Our poor planet is quite resentful; we have pushed him to the maximum; up to limits that receive the name of planetary limits. Simply put: what we eat impacts environmental boundaries like biodiversity loss, water scarcity, and climate change. Does it horrify you?

Your grain of sand with each bite

It is time to change; we are in it But when the problem is as big as our Planet, where to start? There is a simple answer: the more we sign up for a plant-based diet, the better the planet will do. For this reason, we encourage you to do your bit with each bite, or with each sip: well done, for you and for the planet!
