Description
Black pepper essential oil:
The plant that produces the pepper is a climber that can reach up to 10 meters in height, leaning on a stake (a tree or any stem).
Pepper is recognized as the queen of spices and in the Middle Ages it was more valuable than gold, or so they count!
Its place of origin was kept secret for a long time, even its trade gave rise to important conflicts between several countries during the 15th century.
It grows in Kerala in India but is also cultivated in Madagascar, it is the most widely used spice in the world along with salt. Enters numerous spice blends particularly in India (garam massala, baharat, curries ...).
Therapeutically speaking, it is in Ayurvedic medicine that it is used the most. It has been prescribed to treat constipation, diarrhea, cavities, insect bites, arthritis, heart and lung conditions.
Black pepper essential oil does not contain piperine, it is not spicy but we do recognize the delicate aroma of freshly ground pepper.
