Description

The Maitake mushroom is a fungus that has been eaten as food in Asia for thousands of years. They also used it to prepare remedies, it is also known by the name of "the dancing mushroom", famous for its flavor and its healthy benefits. Maitake mushrooms grow in the mountains of northeast Japan. It is also found in the United States, east of the Rocky Mountains. Maitake is a very large mushroom and can grow to the size of a basketball. In Japan, the Maitake mushroom is called "the King mushroom". The fruiting body and mycelium of the Maitake are used medicinally. In China and Japan, Maitake mushrooms have been eaten for 3,000 years. Years ago in Japan, the Maitake had monetary value and was worth its weight in silver. Historically, Maitake has been used as an adaptogen and tonic. It was used as a food to help promote wellness and vitality. The properties of the Maitake mushroom have been studied since the mid-1980s. This mushroom contains polysaccharides that are among the most powerful studied to date. When taken orally it is easily absorbed. The Maitake mushroom is delicious and its meat is soft, with excellent nutritional properties.

How to take Maitake?

Take 1 to 3 teaspoons a day to taste.

Storage conditions

Store in a cool place (below 18ºC), dry, protected from sunlight and isolated from the ground. Consume preferably before the date indicated on the package.
