Description
Lecithin Di Girasole by Longlife is a sunflower lecithin supplement with sunflower oil phospholipids, indicated for lipid metabolism.
Properties and benefits of Sunflower Lecithin
The term lecithin has different meanings: from a chemical point of view it is phosphatidylcholine, while from a commercial point of view it is a natural mixture of neutral and polar lipids. Lecithins that contain phosphatidylcholine are mainly produced from plant sources. The most common are soybean and sunflower seeds and are rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids. Most lecithin-based products contain 10-30% phosphatidylcholine. The phospholipids contained in lecithin are essential for maintaining the composition, functionality and repair capacity of cell membranes. Lecithin acts positively on the metabolism of LDL lipoproteins and lipids, strengthens the nervous system and protects liver function.
