Description
Provides a hormone secreted by the pineal gland or epiphysis. It is synthesized from tryptophan from the diet, whose activity is regulated by the sympathetic nervous system based on the amount of light in the environment. The activity of this enzyme is greater during the night.
Properties and benefits of Lebensal
During the day the serotonin levels in the pineal gland are much higher than in the rest of the brain, decreasing dramatically during the night due to its conversion to melatonin.
Melatonin is able to act as a cofactor of the antioxidant enzymes superoxidedismutase (SOD) and catalase, and increase the effectiveness of vitamins E and C.
Melatonin levels also vary with age, increasing with these levels from birth to the second year of life, when they reach their maximum peak. From here there is a slow decline until puberty that will be accentuated with the passage of time throughout the life of the individual
How to take Lebensal?
It is recommended to take 480 mg (1 ml of the scoop) a day dissolved in 150 ml of water.
