AMClinic's astaxanthin is a compound that is found naturally in some species of seaweed, and by which they obtain the typical pink color that is very characteristic of this pigment. Among its properties, is that of having a great antioxidant capacity, avoiding the oxidation reactions that occur in our body and that are the main cause of aging and some conditions. Thus, astaxanthin has numerous benefits, being that it contributes to cardiovascular health, to strengthening the immune system, to bioactivity against Helycobacter pylori and to the prevention of cataracts. Its action at the level of cardiovascular function has been demonstrated in at least eight studies where it has managed to reduce markers of oxidative stress and swelling, very characteristic of cardiovascular conditions, and improve blood circulation. It also provides great eye support as it fights against oxidative damage caused by light, as occurs in age-related macular degeneration.
