Nipple former

Description

The Medela Nipple Shaper is comfortable to wear. The anatomical shape and the flexible silicone layer, which does not irritate the skin, allow them to be worn comfortably and invisibly. Ventilation holes at the top of the cup facilitate air circulation, preventing moisture build-up and promoting healing

Indication

The nipple former provides women with flat or inverted nipples the ability to prepare them for breastfeeding. Flat or invaginate (inverted) nipples can make sucking difficult. Some children have difficulty properly grasping these nipples, which can result in injury to the nipples. The silicone layer of the trainer exerts gentle and continuous pressure on the areola of the nipple, causing the nipple to be pushed out

Intake mode

It is recommended to adjust the silicone layer around the cup until it fits properly. Place the assembled nipple former on the bra, until the opening in the silicone layer is exactly over the nipple. The ventilation holes in the cup should be facing up. It is also advisable to wear a special breastfeeding bra, since being larger the trainer fits better

Precautions

Do not give the baby the lost milk accumulated in the cup. That milk must be thrown away

Storage conditions

After each use, clean the disassembled nipple former with a mild detergent, rinse it with cold water and let it dry on a clean cloth. Cups and silicone layers can be washed in the dishwasher or autoclaved
