Citric acid

Description

Citric Acid from La Droguerie Écologique is one of the most widespread acids among plants and it is found in almost all fruits, in wood, in mushrooms and even in tobacco. Lemon juice contains 5% to 7%. It plays a central role in the metabolism of all living organisms; the human body produces about 2 g per day and breaks it down again.

Indication

Its uses are very diverse: it is both a food additive, an additive in cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, an acidifier for soda, and a pH regulator. Citric acid is completely biodegradable and is one of those basic household products that should be found in every home.

Intake mode

It is recommended to use to descale small and large household appliances: Dilute citric acid in 1L of cold water and use this solution to descale coffee and kettle. Then rinse with clear water. This solution can also be used to descale taps, shower heads and water reducers. To descale a washing machine, use 6 to 8 tablespoons of citric acid in the drum and cycle at 90 ° C.
