Large, attractive, bright red fruits. Tough meat with excellent flavor. Vigorous and very productive plant. The Alexandria Strawberry requires a location with direct sun or partial shade. Waterings should be regular. Transplant when the plants have 5 to 6 true leaves. It can be grown in 3-liter pots. Strawberries provide few calories because they are mainly made up of water. They contain many mineral salts (potassium, magnesium and calcium) and vitamins (C and E). They are very nutritious and increase organic defenses. They are ideal for diets due to their fiber content, they take care of our teeth thanks to xylitol, it has anti-coagulant action (due to the salicylic acid they contain), and as they have a lot of iron it reduces the risk of suffer from anemia, fatigue or decay. Avoid that the fruits touch the ground with a mulch.
