Description
Agar agar, also known as kanten, is an organic gelling agent made from red algae. It is a vegan substitute for gelatin (animal tissue). Ideal for a delicious cheesecake, jelly or pudding.
Indication
Agar agar is a vegan and organic gelling agent with enormous binding power. You can compare it to gelatin, but agar agar is even more powerful. Agar agar is made from 100% red algae and is also known as kanten. You can make delicious vegan cheesecakes or jelly (sugar free) with it. Add agar agar when the liquid is warm, otherwise lumps may form. Since agar gels at room temperature, it's important to work quickly!
Intake mode
It is recommended that for a medium consistency, use 3-4g per 500ml with thinned liquid. For a hard consistency use 5-8g per 500ml and for a soft consistency use 1.5g per 500ml. Add to your mixture when the liquid is warm and stir quickly to avoid lumps. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes. Let sit for 1-4 hours.
Storage conditions
After opening, store hermetically in a dry and dark place at room temperature (maximum 20 ° C).
