Description
Skipjack tuna loins (Katsuwonus pelamis), from controlled and sustainable fishing, caught by artisanal coastal fishermen in the East-Central and Northeast Atlantic (FAO Zones 27.Xa2 -Azores Islands- / 34.I. 2 -Canary Islands- / 34.III.12 -Senegal Coast-). Angled fish one by one and packed in the traditional pickle made from first cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar and paprika, all from certified organic farming.
Indication
Angling, a method recommended by various conservation organizations, prevents discards due to unwanted sizes and of non-commercial or protected species, ensuring the natural stocks necessary for the maintenance of future generations of the species. The non-use of nets is a guarantee for the quality and freshness of the fish used in this product.
These fisheries are developed under the fishing regulations of the European Union, are controlled by ICCAT, (International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tuna), supervised by the Earth Island Institute, (Dolphin Safe) and are considered sustainable by Friend of the Sea.
