BIO-ECO Organic farming production, which respects the environment and is free of pesticides and transgenic
Description
Cook's Cloves The clove is an evergreen tree, usually 7 to 10 meters high, but up to 20 meters tall. Its growth is slow: it begins to bear fruit from the fifth year, but it does not reach its full production until 15 to 20 years after its planting. If cared for properly, a tree can produce for 50 years. The harvest is only abundant about one year in three.
Indication
Cloves are actually spontaneous in the Moluccas archipelago, present-day Indonesia. The use of cloves is attested in China, 2000 years before our era. It was able to be transported from Indonesia to Ceylon and to the west coasts of India by Chinese sailors, thus joining the large spice markets where Arab merchants bought their supplies.
