Description
Organic chia seeds from Maya Gold Organic are rich in protein, omegas and fiber. Despite their small size, chia seeds are full of important nutrients. They are an excellent source of antioxidant-rich omega-3 fatty acids, and provide fiber, iron, and calcium.
Indication
Chia seeds were a basic element in the Mesoamerican diet. Just a decade ago, the West recognized the uses and applications of chia seeds. In 2009, the European Union approved chia seeds as a novel food, allowing chia to represent up to (5%) of the total matter of bread products.
Intake mode
It is recommended to sprinkle or grind on other foods. Chia seeds can also be mixed into smoothies, breakfast cereals, energy bars, granola bars, yogurt, tortillas, and bread. They can be soaked in water and consumed directly or mixed with any type of juice or milk. Mixed with water, they can replace the egg in vegan cooking
Storage conditions
Store in a cool, dark and dry place, away from direct sunlight. After opening, keep the bag tightly closed. Shelf life: 24 months after production in unopened original packaging
