Description

Very versatile coffee that allows you to enjoy it alone or with milk. It is a very balanced proposal in intensity and with a timid acidity. In the mouth it is a sweet coffee with hints of milk chocolate.

The Finca "Cielito Lindo" is located in Peña Blanca, near Lake Yojoa and the Santa Bárbara National Park in Honduras. The region is home to the natural reservoir of Lake Yojoa, known for its aquatic and birdlife diversity, as well as the Santa Bárbara Mountain, which is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including exotic birds.

The region's special microclimate favors the cultivation of high-quality coffee, including specialty coffees recognized in Honduras and Cup of Excellence winners. The coffee process is carried out using two methods: the traditional one, which involves a 16-hour fermentation of the parchment, and the mechanical method, which eliminates the mucilage immediately.

Since the 1970s, coffee has been a key economic industry in the area, highlighted by Typica and Bourbon varieties. In 2012, Cielito Lindo farmers came together to address challenges such as low prices and diseases. Through technical education, group certifications (Rainforest Alliance) and commercial support from Exportadora San Vicente, they sought to strengthen their position in the coffee sector.
