This gel is indicated to take care of the body's first defensive barrier, including sensitive skin. Until approximately 12 years of age, the structure of the skin is not considered to be similar to that of an adult, the defensive mechanisms of the skin being immature and, therefore, the risk of infection and dehydration is increased. Continued use of hydroalcoholic gels can break the first defensive barrier of the body, the skin, and its protective barriers (acid, hydro-lipid mantle, benign bacteria, etc.). It can cause dryness, dehydration and even produce irritative contact dermatitis or aggravate cases of atopic dermatitis.
