Properties of natural soaps

The formula for preparing soap is thousands of years old, but over time it has been industrialized. The ingredients of natural soap (oil or fat, soda and water) have been replaced by chemical products such as detergents and perfumes.

Instead, natural soaps respect the way of making handmade soap, using organic ingredients to which active ingredients from plants are added. Thanks to this handmade production, the properties of natural soaps include maintaining skin hydration, respecting the natural pH and leaving a soft and smooth finish.

The best organic soaps

There are many types of natural soaps, some of them well known such as Marseille soap (mild and hypoallergenic), Aleppo soap (highly moisturizing) or Provence soap, with a delicate aroma. Glycerin soaps are also very popular, which allow almost any natural aroma to be added and are very respectful of the skin.

However, the formula for making soap is so versatile that today we can find many other types of organic soaps : from coconut, lavender, calendula or tea tree soap, to sulfur soap, ideal for treating acne and blackheads.
