Solgar history and heritage

The Solgar® story began in 1947 in the back room of a pharmacy in Lower East Manhattan. There, two biochemists and a naturopathic doctor shared a common belief: it is better to try to prevent diseases with vitamins and minerals, than to have to cure them with drugs.

These founding principles are the basis of Solgar's philosophy: achieving well-being through holistic health care .
