Properties and benefits of Tarragon essential oil

The Tarragon, perennial and bushy plant, originating from the steppes of Central Asia, occupies the seventh place in the French production of aromatic plants. Used as a condiment in many preparations (béarnaise sauce, mustard, flavored vinegar), it is the subject of various and varied myths and has been used for years.

How to take Tarragon essential oil?

It is advisable to use 1 drop in a dish for 5 people (never exceed 2%). Always use the essential oil diluted in a suitable support (example: vegetable oil, honey ...).

Soluble in alcohol, fatty substances (vegetable oils and butters) and emulsions (creams). Insoluble in water. It is however possible to use it as a mixture in these types of products but pre-mixed with Solubol (in this case it is necessary to put 4 times more solubol than essential oil).

Precautions

Always use essential oil diluted in vegetable oil or another suitable medium. Respect the recommended dosages. The essence of Tarragon can cause an allergy and is irritating, this is the reason why it should never be used pure but diluted in a vegetable oil.

Do not use in pregnant or breastfeeding women, in children under 6 years old, or in subjects with asthma or allergies to one of its components. Consult a specialist for all other indications.
