Description
Lactoferrin is a multifunctional body protein. Its name is made up of lacto, that is, milk, because it was in cow's milk that this protein was first detected. Ferrin refers to iron because lactoferrin has the property of adhering to it and transporting it.
Properties and benefits of Lactoferrin
Lactoferrin occurs in mucous membranes, tear fluid, saliva, bile, pancreatic juices, urine, and mucus in the nasal cavity, respiratory tract, and gastrointestinal tract.
Humans obtain lactoferrin in large quantities right after birth by drinking colostrum and breast milk. Although our body produces lactoferrin on its own, we never get it in such a high dose as at the beginning of our lives. In fact, a Western lifestyle with a diet that contains many highly processed foods, with a lot of stress (chronic) and with exposure to all kinds of toxins and pathogens (environmental) can negatively affect your own lactoferrin stores.
How to take Lactoferrin?
It is recommended to take 1 capsule once a day during or immediately after meals. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Precautions
Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet.
Storage conditions
Store in a dry place and at room temperature.
Composition of Lactoferrin
Lactoferrin (milk), Bulking agent (microcrystalline cellulose (cellulose gel)), Capsule wall (cellulose (HPMC), Gellan gum), Rice extract.
For 2 capsules:
Lactoferrin (300 mg).
