Description

DAOkids is a food for special medical uses based on DAO ENZYME (Diamino Oxidase) for the dietary management of DAO deficiency in children. DAOkids® acts by metabolizing the histamine ingested in the diet, preventing its accumulation in the blood and avoiding the appearance of symptoms. Restores optimal levels of DAO activity thanks to its structural and functional equivalence with human DAO, preventing the absorption of histamine.

How to take DAOkids?

One tablet should be taken with a little water 20 minutes before the main meals (3 times a day), whole, without chewing or splitting or breaking before ingestion.

Storage conditions

DAOkids® contains Diamino Oxidase (DAO), a thermolabile enzyme (sensitive to temperature), so it is recommended to keep it away from heat sources. If it is consumed according to the recommended dose of daily intake, it does not require special conservation, but if it is exceptionally consumed sporadically and stored for a long time, it is advisable to keep it in a refrigerator.

Composition of DAOkids

Bulking agents: microcrystalline cellulose and hydroxypropyl cellulose, Pork kidney protein extract with 7% Diamine Oxidase (DAO), Coating agent: ethylcellulose, Potato starch, Stabilizers: sodium alginate and magnesium salts of fatty acids, Chain triglycerides medium, Coating agent: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, Stabilizers: oleic acid and stearic acid.

For 1 tablet:
Pork kidney protein extract (4.2 mg) of which diamine oxidase (DAO)(0.3 mg).
