Agave Syrup Bio from El Granero Integral is a sweet juice obtained by treating the pulp of a species of cactus known as Maguey. It has a sweetening power that can be double that of commercial sugar, since it has between 70-75% fructose and 25% glucose.
Agave syrup is better tolerated by diabetics than sucrose, since it has a low glycemic index and also sweetens the same amount as sugar with less quantity, but its consumption should also be moderate.
