Description
Nature et Partage Xylitol Powder is a natural sugar obtained from birch bark with the same sweetening power and the same flavor as traditional sugar (sucrose).
Indication
Xylitol belongs to a class of sweeteners called polyalcohols, such as mannitol, sorbitol and other names ending in -itol. Despite their name, they do not contain sugar or alcohol, but have the molecular characteristics of both. Xylitol also has a reputation for contributing to good oral hygiene. In fact, unlike traditional sugar, it cannot be transformed into acids by oral bacteria. However, it is the acidity produced by this fermentation which is the cause of cavities. Associated with calcium and phosphate, xylitol promotes mineralization of teeth. Because of its reputation for the oral sphere, xylitol is found in the composition of certain toothpastes, lozenges and chewing gum.
Intake mode
It is advisable to use in case of diabetes, thanks to its low index or glycemic index (7). It is slowly absorbed and metabolized (very slow assimilation), resulting in minimal changes in insulin levels. It can also be used in culinary preparations (hot or cold dishes). When cooked, the sweet taste of Xylitol increases: reduce the sugar dose provided in your recipe by 30% to 50%.
Ingredients
