Organic textured soy protein is a dehydrated product that has been obtained from soy flour. Being of plant origin, soy protein can be used as a substitute for meat. Intake mode
It is recommended to hydrate the textured soybeans before cooking. For this, place the soybeans in a deep container and cover with twice the amount of water in volume. In 15 minutes it is ready to be used. Using hot water speeds up the process and saves time. A good alternative to water is to hydrate the soy in broth so that it takes on its flavor and requires less seasoning. Soy absorbs liquid and increases three times in size. If the amount of hydrated soy is exceeded, it can be stored in the refrigerator, in a hermetically sealed container, for three or four days.
