Description
Textured soy is obtained from soybeans, through a process of grinding, oil extraction and extrusion (obtaining dry and firm pieces from flour).
Indication
It is a food that is gaining more and more followers, mainly with vegetarian diets. It is beneficial due to its high protein content, its fiber and its content of Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids
Intake mode
It is recommended to consume directly as an aperitif. It can also be hydrated with water or broth (for more flavor). To hydrate it, twice as much water is used. Once hydrated, the excess water can be strained and it is ready to be fried with vegetables and spices or other preparations.
Storage conditions
Store at room temperature protected from the sun. Average life of 12 months, as long as the storage conditions are respected.
