Description
Chia seeds are part of the superfood club. They contain nutrients such as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. During the Aztec Empire, organic chia seeds were already a staple food and a precious source of energy.
Indication
Chia belongs to the Lamiaceae family and more precisely to the Savia genus. It has antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
Intake mode
It is recommended to take 2 or 3 teaspoons of chia seeds every day. Chia seeds can be consumed whole or powdered, directly on salads, soups, yogurt, muesli and compotes. Dry, the seeds crunch between the teeth, like poppy seeds. They can also be consumed by soaking them beforehand in a liquid (water, juice, vegetable milk), so that the seeds form a gel.
Precautions
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose (15 g). Keep out of the reach of children.
