Description
What is Red Rice?
Red rice is a very nutritious rice with a high fiber content.
Red rice is a type of rice grown in the volcanic soil of the Tasikmalaya region in Indonesia, it is so called because it contains the bran that surrounds it and is of that color.
Being a brown rice is rich in fiber and has a satiating effect, it also contains vitamin B6, iron, magnesium and zinc.
It is ideal for vegetarian and vegan diets due to its amount of nutrients, although it is recommended to accompany it with legumes or nuts that contain lysine, the only amino acid that is missing to have all the essentials.
How to use Red Rice?
Red rice has a cooking time of 40 minutes and is ideal to add a touch of color and flavor to dishes. It is very suitable for salads and pilafs and can also be mixed with other whole grain rice
Intake mode
It is recommended to wash the rice beforehand. Once drained, put 1 part of rice for two of water or vegetable broth in a boiling pot. Cook for approximately 40-45 minutes
