Aloe vera properties

Aloe vera is a medicinal plant used for more than 3,000 years. From the fresh leaves of the aloe vera plant, two types of substances with different medicinal properties are obtained used for the preparation of food supplements:

Aloe vera gel : it consists of a sticky juice rich in polysaccharides that is obtained from the center of the aloe vera leaves. Thanks to the protective effect of some of these polysaccharides, aloe vera normalizes pH , reduces enzymes and helps balance the bacterial flora , improving nutrient absorption and eliminating waste.

Aloe or acíbar : it consists of an exudate obtained from the aloe vera leaf. Aloin is the main component of acibar and has laxative properties, modifying the motility of the large intestine, stimulating peristalsis and, therefore, accelerating intestinal transit .
