What is kombucha?

Kombucha is a refrigerated drink made from tea and other ingredients, and then left to ferment with yeast. This fermentation is responsible for the peculiar properties of the kombucha : a very refreshing acid flavor, a slight fizz and the presence of healthy bacteria that make it a drink that is "alive".

The origin of kombucha is found in ancient China, although in recent years it has become a popular natural food product worldwide. Depending on the ingredients it carries, we can have different flavors and types of kombucha : green tea, black tea, red fruit, mango, strawberry, apple, cinnamon, vanilla, carrot ... Sometimes it also includes other superfoods such as turmeric, açai or ginger.
